Julie Ann comes to us with a robust background in all facets of nursing and women’s health including well-women gynecology, family planning, antepartum, and postpartum care. Many women know her through her years in both the Allina and HealthEast systems as well as her work as an instructor and professor.

She began her career as an RN and earned her degree as a nurse midwife in 1995. Since that time she has worked as a co-director for a busy practice, an educator, and a pioneer in establishing nurse-midwife services and programs. Julie Ann is an Assistant Professor at Bethel University in the M.S. Nurse-Midwifery program – a program she helped to create.

In addition to her experience as a nurse midwife, Julie Ann’s professional background includes a PhD in Nursing Education and extensive work in mental health.
